Lantr was founded by UC Berkeley engineers who also run Predexon, a venture-backed Silicon Valley AI data startup valued at over US$15M. We have turned our methods for engineering products, making decisions, and running a company into a rigorous system for young builders. Students define worthwhile problems, learn the technology their ideas require, test with users, and launch work they can explain with confidence. Those abilities matter in every field, and they last long after the tools change.

Why Lantr exists
People who can create will help define what comes next.
Lantr’s founders studied in the ATAR, Cambridge A Level, AP, and IB systems before pursuing engineering at Berkeley. They went on to build software, teach thousands of young people, and lead an AI company. Across those settings, the strongest people combined intellectual discipline with initiative, judgment, and the ability to turn an idea into something useful.
Lantr develops those abilities through one demanding system: deep understanding, current AI practice, and finished work that must serve users and withstand questions.

Original curriculum
A founder-built curriculum that turns current practice into strong student work
A strong team helps students make better decisions, not just finish more tasks.
Founders
Shape and update the core curriculum, assess Fellowship students, and lead the most important product decisions.
Mentors
Guide weekly progress, review the student’s work, and hold them accountable for explaining the complete system.
Advisors
Offer targeted domain perspective where the project, expertise, and advisor availability genuinely align.
The Portal
Keeps tasks, project plans, feedback, milestones, and parent updates connected in one workspace.
Our commitments
- The student owns every important decision and the final piece of work.
- Parents can see the plan, milestones, and record of progress without managing the project themselves.
- We recommend the smallest Lantr program that provides the structure a student currently needs.
- We do not guarantee admissions or employment outcomes, and we do not present advisor access as a guaranteed introduction.
Three AI founders who chose to build a company, and now help students create work of their own.
Lantr was founded by three Berkeley engineers who also run Predexon, a venture-backed AI company valued at over US$15M. The team earned Top-1% Strong Hire recognition at leading technology companies and received multiple US$300K+ offers from Amazon, Databricks, Applied Intuition, Google, and other leading companies. They chose instead to found a company and were admitted to Alliance, a top-tier global crypto and fintech accelerator, in a cohort with a 0.7% admission rate. Their experience reflects the qualities Lantr develops in every student: fluency with AI, initiative, responsibility for outcomes, and the ability to move from research to product. Together, they have taught and mentored more than 2,000 students.

Larry Pang
Co-founder · CS & Mathematics, UC Berkeley
Moved from China to Australia at 13 barely speaking English; graduated dux of Trinity Grammar School, Melbourne with a 99.95 ATAR in VCE, the only student in 2021 with perfect scores in Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, and Physics. His perfect ATAR earned the Chancellor's Scholarship, worth A$10,000 a year at Australian universities. Founded an edtech startup at 16, scaling it to 300 students before Berkeley. Received 5+ offers of US$300K+ from Big Tech and unicorns (Amazon, Databricks, and Applied Intuition among them) and now builds venture-backed Predexon.

Jason Lee
Co-founder · CS & Mathematics, UC Berkeley
Has taught thousands of students, including more than 200 through the leading New Zealand tutoring agency he has run since high school. At King's College, Auckland, he completed six and a half Cambridge A Levels, earning a 99.95 ATAR and the Chancellor's Scholarship, worth A$10,000 a year at Australian universities. He built a top-25 coding agent on SWE-bench, received multiple Big Tech offers, and has shipped software at Amazon, startups, and leading Silicon Valley companies. He is a member of the Forbes Business Council and has published commentary in Forbes.

David Qu
Co-founder · EECS Honors, UC Berkeley
Studied the American AP curriculum at Punahou School in Honolulu, then graduated from Berkeley's highly selective EECS Honors program, reserved for the engineering school's top computer science students. An agent-systems researcher since 2023, he received multiple Big Tech offers and has industry machine-learning experience at Amazon, startups, and across Silicon Valley. He brings deep technical oversight to every student project.
