Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Lantr (“we”) takes your and your child's personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

Information we collect

When you contact us through a consultation form, we collect what you provide: the selected program, the student's or guardian's name, email, country or region, school stage and year, school, and field of study. For the college-admissions program, we also collect age and application timeline; for the university career program, we also collect target direction, recruiting timeline, and current technical experience.

When you subscribe to the Lantr Letter, join The Build Era, use the Portal, or participate in a program, we may also collect account details, curriculum progress, submissions and student work, mentor feedback, bookings, community activity, payment status, and the background or conversations you choose to provide to the Lantr AI Companion.

During subsequent communication and the program itself, we keep necessary correspondence, scheduling records, project arrangements, and parent progress updates. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information to the AI Companion or community.

Our hosting and analytics services collect basic visit data (such as page views and device type) to keep the site running and improve the experience.

How we use it

We use this information to schedule your free consultation, match mentors and project directions, deliver and improve our services, and communicate with you.

Curriculum and project data is used to organize learning plans, review work, show progress, and maintain student accounts. Information in the Lantr AI Companion is used to generate responses relevant to the student within the service.

An email supplied for the Lantr Letter is used only for subscribed content and essential subscription management. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Minors

Our services are for high-school and university students. For minors, we expect information to be provided by, or with the knowledge and consent of, a parent or guardian; scheduling and progress communication happen with parental awareness.

Where applicable law requires verifiable parental consent, we will obtain it before activating an account, the Lantr AI Companion, or community access. The AI Companion is not a substitute for a parent, teacher, doctor, lawyer, or other qualified professional.

Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete their child's information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers necessary to operate (such as website hosting, form processing, and email notification services) and only for the purpose of providing services to us.

Depending on the feature used, providers may include website and database hosting, email, calendar, payment, product analytics, and large-language-model providers. Mentors receive only the information needed to guide the student; advisors receive project context only where there is a genuine match and appropriate authorization.

We do not disclose your personal information to other third parties except as required by law.

Retention and international transfer

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services; you may ask us to delete it afterward.

Retention varies by category: transaction and contract records may be retained for legal and accounting requirements; curriculum, work, and account data remains while the account is active; AI conversations and technical logs are retained only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.

Our website and data services are hosted outside mainland China (primarily in the United States). By submitting information you acknowledge this transfer.

Lantr AI Companion and automated systems

The Lantr AI Companion may use third-party large language models to generate content. Outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Users should exercise independent judgment and consult qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, safety, or mental-health matters.

We require model and infrastructure providers to process data only to provide their services to us and, where product settings and provider terms permit, restrict use of that data to train general-purpose models. We will update this policy or notify users if providers or material processing practices change.

A parent or student may ask us to export or delete personal background and conversation records associated with the AI Companion, except where retention is legally required or necessary for a safety investigation.

Your rights

You may review, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, at any time by emailing team@lantr.ai. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies and analytics

We use basic site analytics to understand page visits and improve the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We currently use product-analytics tools such as PostHog to record page visits, conversion steps, and basic device information. Browser settings can limit cookies, although some analytics functions may then be unavailable.

Updates and contact

Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page. Questions: team@lantr.ai.
