Depth beats breadth
One carefully developed project, evaluated and improved over time, says more than a long list of brief activities.
These are strong years for sustained creative work: there is enough time to do a project properly, while applications are close enough for the result to matter. The goal is one original product completed to a demanding standard.

There is still time to do the work well, and what the student completes now can support applications, interviews, and future projects.

The product must run, address a clear need, and hold up to questions about how it works. That expectation changes how a student works.
The student makes the product decisions, checks the outputs, and can explain every important choice. That is what depth looks like.
A launched product gives the student something concrete to use in applications, interviews, and future projects.
What this stage looks like
Turn an interest into a product for a specific group: for example, a training-analysis tool for a school team or a study assistant for classmates.
Complete a working version each week, receive direct feedback, and explain every important decision.
Evaluate the product against clear test cases, identify weaknesses, and complete another round of improvements.
Other stages
We’ll assess the student’s interests, current ability, and goals, then recommend a project direction and level of guidance that fit. Students and parents are both welcome.
